The SWEP 2026 Scholarships Program
The Society of Women Environmental Professionals (SWEP) of Greater Philadelphia annually awards graduate candidates in accredited environmental graduate, law, and/or PhD programs. We have also opened the application opportunity to undergraduate-level students enrolled in accredited environmental programs. Selected scholarship recipients are invited to be recognized at our annual Touchstone Gala, where they have the opportunity to showcase their accomplishments, research, or thesis projects.
We believe scholarships are key to encourage and promote leadership, achievement, and skill development for professionals looking to fulfill a career in the environmental field. To be considered eligible for a scholarship, applicants must be individuals identifying as a woman.
To be considered for this scholarship opportunity, the following parameters must be met prior to applying:
- The applicant has registered for a SWEP of Greater Philadelphia Student Membership for 2026, or has explained a hardship within the application;
- The applicant is currently enrolled in an accredited STEM undergraduate, graduate, law, or PhD program for the 2026-2027 school year;
- Either the applicant, applicant's program, or applicant's place of work is located in the Greater Philadelphia Region; and
- The applicant is a US Citizen or has obtained a Lawful Permanent Resident status.
